Guwahati: 32-Year-Old Youth Dies After Being Hit By GMC Vehicle

New Delhi: A 32-year-old youth lost his life after a vehicle of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) hit him in the city's Hatigaon.

As per reports, the truck was a GMC garbage pickup truck that hit the youth, killing him on the spot.

The deceased identified as Teertha Pratim Deka was a resident of Narangi and was working with KIA Motors as a salesperson.

Upon receiving the information of the same, a team of police arrived at the spot and after taking custody of the same, they send to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

Reports also claimed that the anguished locals blocked the Hatigaon-Bhetapara road following the accident.

Recently, a few days ago, one lost his life while another sustained a serious injury in Morigaon town. The deceased was identified as Rituparna Deka of Silsaku, Baghara.

The injured person has been identified as Bibhuti Deka. Bibhuti Deka has been referred to Guwahati for better treatment.

As per reports, both Rituparna Deka and Bibhuti Deka were riding on a bike and suddenly one mini truck knocked their bike from behind near Lakhimandir where both of them sustained serious injuries.
